"Defanse Housing Invest" CJSC is creating Defanse Housing multi-functional district, meeting the standards of the 21st century, with the best living conditions, near the North-South highway.


In the 140-hectare district, the construction area of premium residential buildings is only 25%.


From the first day of construction, a 24-hectare central forest park with tree species brought from Italy, as well as 5 fountain complexes, was established in the district. In the architectural design phase, the Company ordered a zoning project for 6 architectural studios of the "Armproject" company.


At the same time, an architectural construction council was formed with the participation of 10 renowned architects of Armenia: Hrachya Poghosyan, Narek Sargsyan, Artur Meschyan, Razmik Minasyan, Alik Zurabyan and others.The "Defanse Housing" district zoning project was created by combining the ideas of architects who have made significant contributions to Armenian architecture. The project aimed to preserve and improve the symmetry of the urban environment, as well as the architectural and landscape design. An attempt was made to take into account examples of similar development in the world: Paris, Milan, Munich, etc. As a result of 6 months of project discussions, a zoning project was created that meets the needs and requirements of Yerevan.

Naming Of The District


According to the decision of the Yerevan Council of the Elders, on October 18, 2022, the new district under construction at 320 Tichina Street was named "Defanse Housing", receiving legal status, which is unique in its significance and status.


The name "Defanse" aims to express the style of the modern city, the combination of a business environment and a residential district in one place, like the model of the Défense district of Paris, keeping the architecture of the old city unchanged, creating a new environment that meets the modern requirements.
